This mud house was built for a client who left his corporate career to teach Sanskrit to children. Inspired by his mentor, he created a paathshala using alternative and recycled materials and dreamed of making a mud house his first home. His deep belief in the power of mud and trust in our design capabilities allowed us to bring this vision to life—a two-storey structure with mud walls and mud plaster.
The design thoughtfully incorporates the principles of climatology, with a roof that channels abundant East-facing light throughout the day, creating a warm, welcoming space. Additionally, the house features an amphitheater on the eastern side, offering panoramic views of the surrounding fields and the majestic Sahyadri mountain range.
